Like it or Not

Well hello there, nice to see you decided to drop in once again.

Today topic is quite easy: Do you know what makes you feel good? Well clearly you say to yourself, it hanging out with friends, reading and extreme biking! Well maybe not. Have you ever being judge for what you like?

Oh do you really enjoy playing video games, I think it major waste of time! This a complete waste of money, you could bought the same shirt for way less. Omg, I donโ€™t think that a right way to use your time

This is similar to being told our dreams are not good, which Iโ€™ll cover in different post in the future. This negative remarks of what will do with our free times and how we bring joy into our lives, can be incredibly damaging to our self-worth and joy. Because we judge our activities has having no value. Even so they actually personally inriched us.

Oh man Iโ€™m idiot look how many hours I spend on this. Ricky, says should do something better with my time

And why? Because we allow people to draw lines, that we should be drawing.

And while others are telling us and measuring our happiness, it will never be yours. Because I go back to the same question, what makes you feel happy?

What makes you guys feel happy? What some of the activities you been judge over? Did you change them, and if so did what you replace them make you feel happier?

  1. Hmmm, that’s a tough one. Sadly some people will always judge no matter how constructively you use your time. My cat makes me incredibly happy! Lol I’m a huge clown collector which brings me great joy and horror to others. ๐Ÿ™‚

I say life is too short to worry about what people are thinking of us. We spend incredible amounts of time and energy trying to please other people and forget the one that matters the most…US! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Oh my goodness yes, I 110% agree with sakuraandme’s comment – you can never please everybody, so look after yourself and do what makes you feel happy!

In my case it’s drawing comics about a green fire-breathing cat named Pickles. Despite the comments of “Weird!”, “She’s so nerdy!” and “What do you mean you’re skipping Friday night drinks for sketching!?” but at the end of the day I’m staying true to myself and that’s what’s important. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. It true that is what important, to be true and honest to ourselves
Because in the end, its us who live with us not others, if that makes any sense : )

      1. Yes I completely understand what you mean! We spend our entire lives being ourselves, so we need to live in a way that makes ourselves happy rather than trying to make every other person happy instead (which is an impossible task anyway). ๐Ÿ™‚
